Description
A rapid immunochromatographic test designed for the qualitative detection of Feline Calicivirus (FCV) antigen in feline oculonasal and oral secretions. It provides veterinarians with a practical in-clinic screening tool for cats showing signs compatible with feline upper respiratory disease.
Species: Feline
Target: Feline Calicivirus (FCV)
Detection: Antigen (Ag)
Sample: Ocular, nasal, or oral/oropharyngeal discharge or swab sample
Test Type: Qualitative rapid test
Method: Lateral-flow immunochromatographic assay
Result: Positive or negative based on visible control and test lines
Useful in cats presenting with sneezing, nasal or ocular discharge, oral ulceration, gingivostomatitis, fever, anorexia, and other signs associated with feline respiratory disease complex.
