Description
A multi-parameter rapid immunochromatographic test designed for the qualitative detection of six important feline gastrointestinal pathogens and enteric disease markers in a single testing platform. It provides veterinarians with a practical in-clinic screening tool for cats presenting with acute or chronic diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, anorexia, and other gastrointestinal signs.
Species: Feline
Targets and Detection:
CAMPY: Campylobacter spp. Antigen (Ag)
CPE: Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin Antigen (Ag)
SAL: Salmonella spp. Antigen (Ag)
GIA: Giardia spp. Antigen (Ag)
FCoV: Feline Coronavirus Antigen (Ag)
FPV: Feline Panleukopenia Virus Antigen (Ag)
Sample: Fecal sample for all six test parameters
Test Type: Qualitative rapid test
Method: Lateral-flow immunochromatographic assay
Result: Separate positive or negative result for each of the six targets
This panel is particularly useful for cats presenting with diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, anorexia, weight loss, dehydration, fever, or suspected infectious enteritis, especially when multiple gastrointestinal pathogens are included in the differential diagnosis.
The combination of bacterial, protozoal, and viral targets allows veterinarians to screen several clinically relevant causes of feline gastrointestinal disease from a single fecal sample.
Important: A positive FCoV antigen result indicates detection of feline coronavirus antigen in the fecal sample and does not by itself diagnose Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). All results should be interpreted together with the patient’s history, clinical findings, vaccination status, and additional diagnostic testing when indicated.
For veterinary use only.
