Description
Oclacitinib Chewable Tablets for Dogs
Apoquel® Chewable contains oclacitinib, a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor that targets cytokine pathways responsible for pruritus and allergic inflammation in dogs. Its targeted mechanism provides rapid control of itch without being a corticosteroid or traditional antihistamine.
It is indicated for the control of pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis and the control of atopic dermatitis in dogs 12 months of age and older. The palatable chewable formulation makes administration easier and supports better compliance, particularly in dogs requiring ongoing allergy management.
Each chewable tablet contains 16 mg oclacitinib. Recommended dosing is generally 0.4–0.6 mg/kg orally twice daily for up to 14 days, followed by once-daily administration, according to the approved product label and veterinary assessment.
